Baraha Unicode is a set of two programs especially designed for Indian users. The tool helps the user to write text in various Indian native languages. Also, it allows the user to write script of one language using characters of another language. The supported languages are Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam, Guajarati, Punjabi, English and many more. This unique package comprises two programs: BarahalME and BarahaPad. The former is an Input Method Editor and the latter is a Unicode editor for Indian languages.
With the help of BarahalME, you can create Indian-language documents in Unicode text with MS Office applications. After starting this program, it will remain as a system icon, and with one right click it would display all the menu commands. You can select any input method, keyboard speed, edit, sort and perform text converting tasks. The program provides all the basic text editing features like Bold, Italic, Underline, Font, Font Size, Text Color, Alignment, Bullets and Indentation. Its interface is very much like MS Word. Both programs can run on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, and later versions and require Windows keyboard for Indian languages.
